German Grand Prix 2019
By Harry Schofield:
The Red Bull of Max Verstappen took his 7th victory of his Formula 1 career .
An action packed race from start to finish, with the usual Mercedes duo not taking full honours in this race.
Lewis Hamilton finished 11th after two offs in the race and his team mate Valtteri Bottas crashed his car going into turn 1.
Lewis Hamilton had been suffering from a mystery illness fro the middle of last week.
Sebastain Vettel redeemed the heartache of starting last place to finish a fabulous 2nd position .
Charles Leclerc did not have a good race as on lap 28 he lost control of his Ferrari and was left in the gravel trap.
A strong performance for the Toro Rosso Team with Daniil Kvyat in 3rd and Alex Albon in 6th place.
Carlos Sainz did a fantastic job finishing in 5th place with the ever improving McLaren .
The Alfa Romeo Team who showed good pace in qualifying had a respectable finish with Kimi in 12th and Antonio in 13th place.
A wet and dry combination made it a fantastic spectacle for the fans and with the Mercedes not on the podium it gave an idea of what the future can hold with the Red Bull and also now the McLaren’s and Toro Rosso’s starting to come into play.
