Spanish Grand Prix Preview 2019

By Harry Schofield

This weekend we start the European leg of the 2019 Formula 1 World  Championship in Spain with the Circuit de Barcelona- Catalunya .

The circuit is about a 35 minute taxi ride from Barcelona City.

The circuit had so many eyes on Ferrari’s pace in February's winter testing, that lead to many people to believe Ferrari would be the main title contender, but we have been proved so wrong.

Ferrari have brought an updated Power unit to Spain,1 month ahead of schedule along with Shell also bringing an updated lubricant that is meant to increase performance.

Ferrari seem to be going all out to get Mercedes of the top stop, but we have seen how Ferrari panic and pushing forward the development is good, it can also be a big embarrassment if Ferrari piston rings and con rods are in the Spanish air on Sunday afternoon.

Renault have to perform, both on a team and driver basis this weekend, they have so much potential with the car, everybody is on tender hooks maybe a little more  thinking and it will soon gel.

Daniel and Nico are very good drivers, Daniel I get the impression if he does not start delivering soon he will be under more pressure, at the moment it was a bad move to move from Red Bull but im hoping the team can fight for wins before we get to the British Grand Prix.

Toto Wolff has been rumoured to bea potential successor to Formula 1’s CEO Chase Carey once his Mercedes contract expires.

Hass is reported bringing a host of upgrades to the VF-19 for this weekends Spanish Grand Prix.
